The Deluxe Junior Suite is located in buildings 3, 4 & 5 which seem to be centrally located. Buildings 3 and 4 look ideal based on their proximity to the pool, beach and a couple of the restaurants. Coy and I stayed in the Silver Junior Suites in building 2 in May and it was a very nice room. The bathroom and bedroom are somewhat "open" so not complete privacy if that is something you are concerned with. The "Golden" Suites are all located in buildings 6,7,8 by the Golden pool. This is adjacent to the quiet pool, lazy river area. The Junior Suites (9-14) are all on the beach area but are quite a walk to the restaurants and entertainment.

An All-Inclusive Resort means the amount you paid to book your suite includes an unlimited amount of food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) your heart could desire during your stay from all 8 restaurants and 11 bars and lounges spread throughout the resort! This includes the churro cart in the evenings and Cafe Sisal that has coffee, pastries and ice cream. The only cash you will need, would be if you choose to do excursions outside of the resort or for tipping, which is not expected, but is appreciated if you are getting special or excellent service. Adult only means no-one under age 18 years old are permitted on the resort grounds.

There is a dress code for the a-la carte restaurants. The dress code can be found here: https://www.valentinmaya.com/en/gastronomy/ Basically, for dinner at the restaurants, men are required to wear pants. This can be any kind of pant, but we noticed most men in very casual pants such as fishing-style material, khaki's, athletic, etc. Also, flip flops are not allowed at the dinner restaurants. You can wear sneakers, Hey Dude- style shoes, etc.

Yes. Room service is available at no charge, 24 hours a day.

Yes. Laundry service is available for an additional charge.

The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be outdoors. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the beach.

Even though we want everyone to be fully present with us during the ceremony, we will welcome you to snap as many pictures as you'd like and you will have the opportunity to share them to a site that we can all access and enjoy.

A formal invitation has been sent with instructions to rsvp. Food choices are needed to plan for reception. We encourage you to book and pay the deposit on rooms if you think you may be attending a.s.a.p.

Yes, you will need a current, valid Passport to travel to Mexico.

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your favorite "beach-cocktail wedding attire". We suggest that men wear slacks/pants and a collared shirt, and women wear a maxi, midi or knee-length dress or dressy separates such as a jumpsuit. Please no shorts or jeans. The wedding party colors and inspiration pics are below. (Obviously the bride and groom will be a tad bit more "mature" than the models below!) Shoes are optional for the ceremony! The resort is very spacious and spread-out, so keep that in mind when choosing footwear. You are welcome to change in to shorts for the after party.

When you book with Sheryl, she will co-ordinate a private transfer from the resort to the hotel that will be an extra charge. You can take a taxi, but the price is around $75 and is not as comfortable as a private transfer.

The average temperature in May for a typical day ranges from a high of 90°F to a low of 70°F. Some would describe it as pleasantly warm with a gentle breeze. The average day in Cancun during May has 13.1 hours of daylight, with sunrise at 6:17 AM and sunset at 7:12 PM. In May, it is moderately humid with an average amount of 75% (relative humidity), which could be described as sticky.

Coy and DeDe will be at the main pool on Friday, May 2 from 12-4pm hanging out and having fun! We would love our guests to join us if they are available! We would also love everyone to meet us at Don Miguel's Bar before dinner from 5:30-6:30 pm for a Meet and Greet. The restaurants can't accommodate our entire party, so you are welcome to eat at any of the restaurants after. Only one of them take reservations and we are told it fills up fast, so if you are interested in the Hibachi restaurant, get with your concierge early in the morning. Coy and DeDe will hit up the Plaza after dinner to enjoy the band/DJ.
